Rocco Becht and Carson Hansen led a late drive to hold off Washington's (5-4, 2-4) second-half surge and secure a 28-25 Penn State (5-4, 2-4) win on Saturday at Husky Stadium in Seattle. The Nittany Lions appeared to be in total control as they jumped out to a 28-6 lead and dominated the 30 minutes. But Demond Williams Jr. and Washington's offense came to life in the second half, using a short passing game to score on three of their four possessions and narrow the Nittany Lion lead to a field goal with 7:40 remaining. On a gutsy final drive that ate up the rest of the clock, though, Hansen rushed for 51 yards and Becht for 18 as the Nittany Lions marched to the Washington 1 before they were able to take a couple knees to run out the final minute. Becht was 16-27 for 247 yards and two touchdowns, with Chase Sowell catching four passes for 125 and a score. Hansen ran for 119 and a touchdown on 14 carries, while Cam Wallace added 55 yards that included a 46-yard touchdown run.
